The Restaurant
Thai cuisine is considered the finest of Asia. Its original and delicate ingredients such as curry, mint, lemongrass, coriander, kaffir lime, or red basil, its perfume and colourful and spectacular displays will make your mind travel places. But careful, it is also very spicy and could represent a real challenge to your taste buds! Story of the Owner: Ladi Cheng A Quebecer of Cambodian Chinese descent, Ladi Cheng has been in business since his early twenties. Eager to learn and passionate about Asian cuisine, Mr. Cheng began his entrepreneurial journey with his wife, Thyda Ouy, with the creation of their first restaurant in 2003. Building on the success of the Satori Sushi, the ambitious couple decided to take on a second challenge a few years later. In November 2012, Siam and its famous Thai cuisine were born. To ensure an authentic experience, a renowned chef from Thailand flew in to lead the start-up of the restaurant. Siam now has two establishments bearing the prestigious Thai Select Premium certification. From there, a fourth restaurant, East Pan-Asiatique, was added to the roster along with the Quality Inn Convention Center in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Today at the head of a company counting more than 250 employees, Mr. Cheng continues to be driven by a determination to do better. It is with great honor that the Groupe Satori is a partner of the Chinese Hospital Foundation. |
