Jimmy Chan

Jimmy Chan, president of "Gee How Oak Tin Association of Montreal" and "Chin Wing Chun Tong Association of Montreal" in Chinese community, has been involved in the Montreal Chinese community for over 30 years, helping the elderly, the youth, and organizing and promoting Chinese culture .

He graduated in Concordia University in "Quality System Engineering", he also certified as a degree in Herzing Institute as an Industrial Electronic Technologist.

Jimmy's profession as a Quality Control Inspector Specialist in CAE does not stop him from pursuing other interests.

He is the founder of One World, One Humanity, and Canadian International Martial Arts Alliance Committee <http://martialartsalliance.ca/>, organizing events and Montreal International Martial Arts Festival to raise funds for those in need.

2017 Elected as Canada National President for Canada Day Drumming Celebration. (Jimmy was also the first person to initiate the first Chinese participation to the Canada Day Parade over 32 years ago).

2020 Selected to be the member of the City of Montreal "Qualite de vie Quartier Chinois" to Promote the quality of life in Chinatown

Jimmy is the 3rd Generation / Sifu of (Chan Ga Fist), and event coordinator of the well-known Montreal Chan Lion Dance Club, whose mission is to promote the Chinese culture and traditions by doing public lion dance performances

In 1996 - He is one of the Founder In the Montreal International Dragon Boast Race Festival since 1996, he built the very first dragon boat team in his community and in the city of Montreal, his passions in dragon boat racing and runs his own dragon boat race club Montreal Chan Dragon Boat Sports Club, which consists of the mixed team Phoenix Warriors and men's team Dragon Knights. Jimmy has competed across the world, winning world club crew championship competitions, representing Montreal Canada.
