Established in 1972, the Montreal Chinese Hospital Foundation supports initiatives that preserve the Hospital’s unique character and offer expanded and enriched services that go beyond basic government-funded care. Its mission is to receive, invest, and allocate private donations and endowments to strengthen clinical services, enhance hospital infrastructure and support the Hospital’s development as a centre for community engagement.
In recent years, healthcare policy has increasingly prioritized home- and community-based care over traditional institutional models. As long-term care continues to evolve, the Foundation remains essential in advancing the Hospital’s mission, particularly amid a rapidly aging population and rising demand for specialized services.
