We are thrilled to welcome our community to the pre-opening of the The Claude and Stanley D.K. Ma Garden, a peaceful green haven in the heart of the city, thoughtfully designed to promote healing, connection, and cultural reflection.

On this special day, residents of the Montreal Chinese Hospital and their loved ones were invited to stroll through the garden for the very first time.

Wheelchair-accessible and infused with elements of Chinese culture — from soothing fountains to symbolic plants and open spaces for relaxation and socialization — this new garden creates a serene atmosphere rooted in tradition.

This remarkable project was made possible by generous donations to the Montreal Chinese Hospital Foundation.

💬 “We’re fortunate to have such a peaceful space in the heart of downtown,” said Sandra Lavoie, director of the long-term care center.

💬 Dr. Felix Ma, President of the Foundation, added, “In addition to its therapeutic value for our residents and users, the garden strengthens the Hospital’s role as a space for cultural and community engagement.”

Thank you to the Ma Family, our donors, and community partners for making this dream a reality. This is more than a garden — it’s a legacy of care, culture, and compassion.
